Vera Miles costars. Next is 1951’s Strangers on a Train, a thrilling adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s novel in which pro tennis player Guy Haines (Farley Granger) has the bad luck of sitting next to a man named Bruno Antony (Robert Walker in a memorably chilling performance) on a train and getting drawn into his deranged and murderous orbit. According to Baker – also read as Shpeshal Nick– the company was going to organize this event in August, but finally decided to move it to next September.

This is correlated to what we read a few days ago from another well-known insider, on that occasion it was the insider Dusk Golem. Although at that time we did not know what kind of event it was going to celebrate Sony PlayStation.

I mean, it could be a nuevo PlayStation Showcase as has been seen in 2021 -curiously on September 9- and in the month of the pandemic where interesting novelties were seen that are highly anticipated today.

One of the sources Baker claims contacted him with the following message in response to this PlayStation Showcase shifted from August to September 2022.

It doesn’t seem that way. Three different people told me September 8th within 20 minutes of each other.

I know the dates are changed at the last second too but they seem to want to go before Disney“.

Because yes, of course, in case you still didn’t know Disney announced its first Games Showcase last week with new Disney, Pixar, Marvel or Star Wars games; and it is just one day after this supposed event.

In addition to all this and despite what they assured from Sucker Punch Productions about no one working on new Infamous or Sly Cooper for PS5, Baker himself He said: “hopefully for sly fans it’s true” over a possible reset from the saga.

Especially since new rumors about Sly Cooper for PS5 point to a reveal in September, according to several insiders.

As always take it with great caution since they are rumors and since Sony y/o Sucker Punch they haven’t confirmed anything about it no matter how much the study “never say never“.

Same goes for this PlayStation Showcase of the next August 8despite “when the river sounds…“The industry is very volatile and until there is official confirmation nothing can be expected.

Olga and Sasha are two Ukrainian sisters. The first is 34 years old and is a wine merchant in Paris, where she has lived for seven years. The second, aged 33, lives in kyiv with her parents and grandmother. Recently, she has been working remotely for a French digital communication agency. The two sisters have agreed, since the beginning of the conflict, to keep their logbook for M Le magazine du Monde. This week, Olga returns from her stay in kyiv and then flies to Iceland for the holidays, while Sasha worries about the approach of Independence Day.

Tuesday August 16

Olga : It’s already Tuesday. I try not to think about the departure or the return trip. Our night was disturbed by the howl of a siren which lasted nearly an hour. And a second sounded eight minutes after the end of the first. It was scary. Our bulldog also got scared. When he heard the alarm, he ran down the hall. I said to myself : “He knows the rules!” » I stayed with him. Sasha was so tired that she did not get up. She just told me that if we heard a shrill whistle, we had about five seconds. At 8 a.m. sharp, my sister opened my door and the dog came to wake me up with her happy little sniffles. He is wonderful !

“I stand in front of the barrel of a tank. I imagine myself in the shoes of people for whom this black hole was the last thing they saw in their lives. » Olga

We’ll have a coffee with my friend O., we’ll discuss our future plans… We hope the war will end soon. Then I’m going to kiss my grandma and my aunt at home before going back to France. Halfway, a siren sounds. I take refuge in the metro and wait on the platform. She stops, I go out. A second, I go back down and, there, I wait an hour. I definitely can’t get used to it. We spend a joyful and nostalgic moment around a lunch. I see that my grandmother is sad. Like me. I will miss them, the women of my family! It’s hard to leave. She takes me to the bus and waves at me. This slender, humble little lady is our mainstay.

I go back by metro on the line we often took with Sasha when we went to school. I see the Dnieper and scroll through my head images that are dear to me. I get off at Teatralna station, in the city center, I walk along Krechtchatyk, the main avenue of Kyiv [Kiev en ukrainien]. There are people in the bars, people take advantage of the coolness of the evening. It’s 8:30 p.m. I arrive at Mykhailivska Square, in front of the cathedral with its golden domes. I sang there with my choir… maybe fifteen or twenty times. The square has turned into a place of mourning. Weapons and Russian military vehicles picked up in Irpine and Boutcha are exhibited there. It smells of burnt and rusty metal. I want to vomit. I stand in front of the gun of a tank. I imagine myself in the shoes of people for whom this black hole was the last thing they saw in their lives. I walk into the rain with dark thoughts. I find Sasha, it makes me happy. We taste the white wine that I sent him by post before arriving. We talk for a very long time.

The beautiful XVIe resurgent century exists only on the surface. In reality, it is a dark century of ever-increasing panic anguish, of the presentiment of the Judgment of God. Astrological prognoses, glosses of biblical prophecies, editions of the Apocalypse, descriptions of prodigious signs – hairy comets, monstrous births, terrible storms – multiply to specify that the world is at its end, that it is at the end of the six thousand and five hundred years of its duration.

The great Parisian preacher of the decades 1530-1550, François Le Picart, thus proclaims that the signs, which God said would be harbingers of His coming, are now present, apostasy, atheism, the Antichrist making himself worshiped as God: “We can well see how near the day of Judgment is, for malice abounds more than ever. It seems there is no God as we live. »

The Jacobin Pierre Dyvolé, in Provins, during Lent of 1561, underlines that the kingdom of France is biblically cursed by God. He is on the threshold of the Great Tribulation, of a time of unprecedented violence: Dyvolé prophesied to France “its near ruin and desolation” and he called him, many times and in many sermons, “wretched and cursed of God. » In his libels, the priest Artus Désiré keeps repeating that the presence of heretics (including Protestants) is an unmistakable sign “of the last time, where now we are”.

Make amends by killing the impious

Only the amendment can save from damnation the people who, by their sins, have broken with God. Violence participates in the amendment, because it is through it that the faithful will find salvation and redemption in the state of Covenant and will hope to stand, on the day of Judgment, among the Elect. It will be a violence of God, which will free each one from his sin in the very gesture of putting to death the impious. Both war and aggression are just, implacably just, because the murder of the heretic is a justification of the creature made by God in his image.

This situation of hysteria in the face of human sin is capital in that it precedes the caesura that is the rise of Calvinism and that it amplifies itself in function of the adhesion of a growing fraction of the population to the new ideas of Protestantism. The Calvinist reform is in fact built on a theology of negation of anguish thought of as a “bad fear”and on the postulate that the human creature, marked absolutely by original sin, cannot know God by himself, that he must not seek to know what only God knows, the moment when the Last Judgment will begin .

The wooden model representing the city center of Niamey, in 3D, on a surface the size of a ping-pong table, has just returned from the Venice Architecture Biennale in early July. She now sits prominently in Atelier Masomi, the agency created in 2014 by Mariam Kamara in the Nigerien capital. In the center of the model is the latest project of the mistress of the place: a cultural center in this city which has hardly any.

The location of the building was not chosen at random: housed in the hollow of the Gounti Yenna valley, it spans the river which cuts the city in two, from north to south, before flowing into the meanders languishing from the Niger River. The place is a sociological and historical marker, a natural border in the heart of the capital. To the west, a plateau overlooks the river and the lower town which unfolds towards the east. The French settlers lived in the upper part, from where they watched the native areas in case of an uprising.

Sixty years after independence, the division continues. “The wealthy and the ministries are on the plateau which still dominates the popular and underprivileged part of the city”, explains Mariam Kamara. As an architect, she wonders what to do with this heritage, a city built in 1926 by settlers on inequalities? The cultural center would provide the beginning of a response designed “to be an integral part of the city, accessible to all, and a natural gathering point for the population. » Both a bridge and a gathering point. “Niamey is an interesting animal, everything remains to be done and I am only at the beginning of my reflection”she adds.

Map of the city of Niamey, in Niger, produced by Mariam Issoufou Kamara. June 27, 2022.

This project harbors a part of the soul breathed into Atelier Masomi by Mariam Kamara. “Where other firms express their difference through the use of innovative materials, our particularity lies in our cultural approach, it’s unusual”, she explains. The design of each project begins long before the first shot is drawn. There are several months of historical, cultural, economic and sociological research upstream so that the realization fits perfectly into its environment.

Political approach

The approach is also political: “80% of the planet lives under the dictatorship of Western culture wrongly assimilated to modernismdenounces the architect. With giant storms, powerful winds, auroras, extreme temperature and pressure conditions, Jupiter has a lot going on at once right now. And now the James Webb Space Telescope has captured new images of the planet. The new observations made with James Webb will give scientists more clues about Jupiter’s inner life.

Not even astronomers expected the images to be so good, it’s really impressive the details that can be observed in Jupiter along with its rings, small satellites, and even galaxies in the images.

The two newly released images of Jupiter were taken with NIRCam, the Near Infrared Camera, which has 3 specialized infrared filters that show details on the planet. As infrared light is invisible to the human eye, the light has been mapped onto the visible spectrum. Generally, longer wavelengths appear redder and shorter wavelengths appear bluer. These images of Jupiter, still have a very interesting point, the scientists, shall we say professionals, worked together with citizen scientist Judy Schmidt to translate the James Webb data into beautiful images.

In the image where Jupiter appears alone, and which was created from a composite of some other images, it is possible to see the auroras extending at high attitudes above both the north and south poles of Jupiter. Auroras shine in a filter that is mapped to redder colors, which also highlights reflected light from lower clouds and higher haze. A different filter, mapped to yellow and green, shows the mists spiraling around the north and south poles. A third filter, mapped to blue colors, highlights light that is reflected from a deeper main cloud.

The Great Red Spot, Jupiter’s famous giant storm, appears white in the images, like the other clouds, as they reflect a lot of sunlight.

The brightness in these images indicates high altitude, so the Great Red Spot has high altitude hazes, as in the equatorial region. The numerous bright white spots and streaks are likely the high-altitude cloud tops from condensed convective storms. The dark bands north of Jupiter’s equatorial region have little cloud cover.

Already in the wide image of the planet and its surroundings, James Webb managed to once again observe the faint rings of Jupiter, which are millions of times fainter than the planet and two small natural satellites, Amalthea and Adrastea. The hazy dots that appear in the background at the bottom of the image are very distant galaxies.

These images will be added to the scientific program of the Jupiter system, which studies the chemistry and dynamics of the Gas Giant, its rings and satellites. In addition to the beauty of the image, the scientific data acquired by James Webb is already being analyzed.

Data from space telescopes like James Webb doesn’t arrive on Earth, all neatly packaged. In fact, in the data is information about the brightness and light from the James Webb detectors. This information comes straight to the Space Telescope Science Institute, the so-called STScI, the mission operations and science-as-raw data center. The STScI then processes the data into calibrated files for scientific analysis and this data is then uploaded to the Mikulsski Archive for Space Telescopes for dissemination. While the STScI team formally processes the results for release, another team of non-professional astronomers delve deep into the public data archives and also contribute to the processing of James Webb’s images.

Judy Schmidt of Modesto, California has been doing this job of processing NASA images within the community of citizen scientists for a long time, and this time would be no different, and she was the one who processed the new images of Jupiter taken by James Webb. In the wide image where you can see the satellites, the rings, Ricardo Hueso helped in the process, Ricardo is a professional astronomer who studies planetary atmospheres at the University of the Basque Country in Spain.

Judy Schmidt does not have a formal training in astronomy. But 10 years ago a contest held by ESA sparked this passion for image processing. The competition Judy participated in was called Hubble’s Hidden Treasure, where the general public was invited to process Hubble images differently. There were more than 3000 participants, and Judy took third place with the image of a planetary nebula.

Since the ESA contest, Judy has been working on data from Hubble and other space telescopes as a hobby. She said that something sparked this interest in her and that now she can’t stop. She said she spends hours of the day working on the images. But this I already told you, when you understand the process and start downloading the images to work, you can decree the end of your life.

Her love of astronomy and image processing led her to work with images of nebulae, globular clusters, stellar nurseries, among other things. Her philosophy is to try to give a natural look even if it’s something too far away for our eyes to see. By doing so much work of processing the images, it caught the attention of professional scientists in the area, who sought her out, for example to refine the images that Hubble took there in the early 1990s of the impact of comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 with Jupiter.

Jupiter is not an easy object to work with, in fact much more difficult than objects much more distant. That’s because Jupiter has an extremely high rotation speed. Combining a set of images to generate a final view is challenging in the case of Jupiter, as the features soon change places and when the images are added together, they do not fit and are not aligned. Sometimes it is necessary to make digital adjustments so that the images can be added correctly.

The James Webb Space Telescope will make observations of each of the phases of cosmic history, asked what would be the most interesting images Judy would like to see she replied that she is waiting for images of the young stars that produced the Herbig-Haro Objects, that is , the jets of radiation from newborn stars, are these jets that end up shaping the nebulae that are the stellar nurseries producing spectacular views of the universe.

Aamir Khan’s new film Laal Singh Chaddha is being discussed. Controversy has raged over the film since its inception as the film insulted the Indian Army. This film, made at the expense of crores of rupees, managed to earn 50 crores at the box office after the first week. But, Amiri Magic is absolutely superhit at the international level. Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya starrer Lal Singh Chadha set the record for the highest grossing worldwide box office in 2022. Lal Singh Chadha has surpassed the popularity of films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and The Kashmir Files at the international level. Let’s take a look at how these three films fared at the box office in the international market.

Laal Singh Chaddha: Condemned at home, worshiped abroad! Aamir’s Oscar-winning ‘Lal Singh Chadha’
7.47 million was traded by Gangubai Kathiawadi. On the other hand, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and The Kashmir Files managed 5.88 million and 5.7 million respectively. Note that these three Bollywood films did great business at the Indian box office. After its release on August 11, Lal Singh Chadha has done 7.5 million international business at a figure of Rs 59 crore. And in terms of worldwide box office earnings, Lal Singh Chadha has done a business of Tk 126 crore so far. However, Telugu blockbuster RRR did 20 million internationally.

Laal Singh Chaddha: ‘Sorry if hurt’, Aamir finally apologizes for ‘without country’ comment?
Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chadha will release in China and Taiwan on September 8. Note that Aamir Khan’s film is very popular with the Chinese audience. Films like Dangal, Secret Superstar, Peak were successful at the Chinese box office. Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist is the only Indian star to dominate the Chinese box office. So after the release of Lal Singh Chadha in China, the makers of Lal Singh Chadha are hopeful that the success of this film will go one step further at the international level.

Aamir Khan: Aamir cried after seeing Lal Singh Chadda, Superstar Chiranjeevi handled it
Thugs of Hindostan in 2018, however, disappointed the Chinese audience. Aamir’s Thugs of Hindostan was not a success at the international level, just as the film was labeled as a flop in India as well. According to an international media report, Aamir Khan’s Mela and 1947 Earth were two consecutive flops in 2000. This time also the same incident happened again. In 2018, Thugs of Hindostan flopped at the box office. After four years Lal Singh made a comeback with Chadda that too flop!!
